The Thinking Cities Alliance presents the latest in its series of Roundtable Discussions, with the focus this time on INTELLIGENT LOGISTICS: Smart Deliveries for the Smart City.

How will a more intelligent logistics sector impact on a city’s ability to manage its congestion? What smart measures can be deployed now, rather than in 2030? Just how innovative does the logistics sector need to be? Who has to take the first step – the city, business, or the logistics industry? Why focus on surface transport – why not go underground?

Thinking Cities’ editor Kevin Borras puts these and a selection of other taxing questions to our panel of experts, gleaned from all four corners of the intelligent logistics arena:

Prof Mike Browne, University of Westminster
Trevor Dorling, Royal Borough of Greenwich
Andrew Lowery, TNT
Prof Cathy Macharis, Free University of Brussels
Roger Miles, Mole Solutions
